Shri DSGSS Babji has taken over as Regional Executive Director (East-I), NTPC with effect from August 3rd, 2022. Prior to this, Shri Babji was heading Utility Powertech Limited (UPL) as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Shri Babji, a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from Nagarjuna University, joined NTPC in 1986 as an Executive Trainee. He is having more than 36 years of experience in large size coal power stations in the areas of Mechanical Maintenance and Operation & Maintenance. Shri Babji has worked in various capacities at Ramagundam, Simhadri, NTECL-Vallur and Farakaa Projects/Stations.
Shri Babji's experience in the power sector includes nearly 3 years of senior management level as Business Unit Head of NTPC Farakka and UPL. Shri Babji has a rich experience and exposure to the entire life cycle of the power plants including concept to commissioning of the plant.
